It’s the perfect day to be out on the water. You’ve found an idyllic bay to anchor up and prepare lunch. The kids are actually off their phones and even having fun together!
The sound of happy banter rolls along the waves; laughter and splashing echoes throughout the bay. A feeling of pride and bliss rushes over you: you’re doing it, you are parenting like a legend. Your kids are well balanced, decent humans after all!
However, that perfect little bliss bubble is interrupted moments later with a curious thud from somewhere on the boat.
When Idyllic Life Skyrockets to Chaos
Following the thud there is an unnerving silence, your mind races with questions and dread. The answers come by way of loud, shrill howls from one of your offspring.

Racing up on deck, you see two horrified expressions, with another head just bobbing above the surface…covered in blood.
Your heart rate peaks to an all-time high.
This idyllic, remote spot, now appears menacingly isolated as you find yourself in the midst of chaos.
“Remain calm” is all you remember from your first aid training. You take a deep breath, put on your best, reassuring smile, amidst the chaos, as your body seems to be on auto-pilot, getting the kids out of the water.
Now what?!
