SisterShip Training partners with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to deliver the range of recreational and commercial courses we offer.
Rather than duplicating systems that already exist, we work with established RTOs so we can focus our time and energy on what matters most: high-quality teaching, student support, and practical learning.
We spent considerable time speaking with multiple organisations to understand their standards, communication, and approach before entering into any partnerships.
Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)
We currently partner with Maritime Training School
RTO 91487
Silver Spirit Cruises Pty Ltd T/A Maritime Training School
ABN 65 121 257 403
This partnership allows us to deliver nationally recognised training where required, while maintaining our own teaching approach and student support.
AMPA assessors
We are also approved AMPA assessors.
For students completing courses that require an AMSA-mandated practical assessment, this means the assessment can be carried out directly by us. This provides continuity, clarity, and a more supportive assessment experience.
What we offer
We provide:
-
Recreational boating licences
-
Commercial maritime qualifications
-
Independent online courses developed and taught by us
Our own courses are created from real-world experience and are designed for step-by-step learning without overwhelm. They are not generated or automated and reflect years of practical application on the water.
We also offer a dedicated Emergency Preparedness course that focuses specifically on your vessel, your systems, and realistic onboard scenarios.
Who we are
You can learn more about us on our About Us page, through our student reviews, or via our sailing memoirs, which document more than 80,000 nautical miles and decades of combined experience on the water.
Serving our community
SisterShip Training was created to support the boating community with practical, accessible, and experience-based maritime education. Our partnerships exist to enable that goal, while allowing us to stay focused on teaching, safety, and confidence on the water.
