Dip Your Toes In: 4 hours (theory): $189 per person (includes over $130 materials): 21st September 8:30-12:30

This is a packed 4 hours. The course includes: Instruction, AUS252 Chart, two Navigation Manuals (value at over $130 worth of material!)
Optonal Extra: Navigation Tools: Portland Plotter, Brass Dividers, Pencil Compass: $99 (Usually $120). *Discounted equipment/books only available with this course.
Note: If you don’t already have this equipment, you will need all this equipment to take part in the course, it is a hands on course.
OPTION 2: DIVE RIGHT INTO NAVIGATION
OPTION 3: SKIPPER LEVEL NAVIGATION
Skipper Level Navigation: 2 days (theory and practical): $569 per person (includes over $170 materials) 21st September 8:30-5pm and 6th October onboard SV Victory for the day.
This is Skipper Level Navigation and includes the accredited unit certificate MARKH013 (which is part of the Coxswains Course). It includes everything in “Dive Right In To Navigation” (as above), but with an additional day on the water to test your skills. There is additional work required.
The course includes: Instruction, AUS252 Chart, two Navigation Manuals. It also includes an additional chart (Eden, NSW), which you will work on at home (between the theory day and the practical day) in preparation for your onboard assessment.
It’s a fun (by busy) day on the water, where we practice blind navigation, acting as Skipper, helmsman, and navigator (rotational). It’ll really hone your skills and we have a great time on these days. You MUST complete the homework prior to the practical day. You cannot do this passage planning on the day. The practical element is completing the ‘voyage’ that you prepared at home testing your steering capabilities, speed/distance/time calculations, bearings, instruction (as skipper) and helmsmanship.
